Born in the outer suburbs of Sydney, Australia, Dave swapped the suburban scrub-land for the rolling hills of Somerset, England, when he was eight years old and became surrounded by the myths and legends of the West Country.
Working mainly as an actor and director Dave has also published half a dozen short stories over the years under the nom de plume D. Harrigon. He has lived in the UK, China and America, travelling the world at every opportunity.
His work has engaged with everything from Shakespearean companies, through circus performers, to opera, including working as production assistant for the Women of Asia Theatre Company and movement director for Ragbone Theatre.
The pandemic sent him from London back to Australia, where he currently resides, walking the many trails of the Tasmanian wilderness in his spare time.
Writing came first for Dave, beginning with extensions of his homebrew tabletop gaming world, and branching out into many other areas.
Acting work has taken Dave all over the world.
Board game design came about after a couple of friends re-introduced Dave to this aspect of hobbying, with a great session of Betrayal at House on the Hill. He is currently working on several games.
